Bills are Now Invoices and Billings are Now Time Entries

BILLS --> INVOICES

BILLINGS --> TIME ENTRIES

Bills have been renamed to Invoices and Billings have been renamed to Time Entries.

These changes may be small, nothing moved, and no functionality changed with it, but we know these changes make things better because it just makes more sense. And when a product is more intuitive, it is easier to use.

We've actually got a couple more upcoming name changes as well. We'll continue to make things better and we want your feedback helping us to things right.

Applying Retainers Improvements

There is a new view for "Matters Eligible for Retainer" that will help you apply retainers to matters easily. This is a better approach where you can see and select the matters to apply retainers to more specifically instead of the previous more blind "Apply All Retainers".

Also, applying retainers can be done at any time during the month and will be applied to any Invoice that has been approved.

Finally, simplifying how things are handled with the disbursement and allocations has allowed us to keep the invoice clean with a single payment shown to your client.

See this user guide here for more details.

LEDES Invoicing Improvements

We made a small improvement when generating LEDES invoices, so that it will behave the same as generating PDF files in that each invoice will be a separate file.

There are also override fields to help you with any values that go into the LEDES files that the provider you are submitting these files to have character limits on.

So please review this guide here.

In the end, our goal is to limit the amount of manual changes you might need to do to submit an invoice from Curo365 via LEDES.

New Design for the Timers Window

The Timers window now has a new design, and it adds the ability to easily create a new task and start timing right from this window. Give it a try. We know you will like it much better.

A user guide for this is coming soon.

Total Time vs Billable Time

We've added the ability to distinguish between total time and billable time separately, with billable time never exceeding total time.

This distinction will help provide firms insights with the two data points and the valuable conversation to be had when they are different.

A few use cases we wanted to support:
-     giving the timekeeper credit for actual hours worked but still charging the customer for less time
-     measuring the difference between the two, showing "evaporation" of potential funds not collected on

Dedicated Retainer Replenishment Requests

Now you can send your clients a retainer replenishment request at any time. It no longer has to be combined with an invoice.

Keep your retainers full of funds to ensure work performed will be paid and will be paid on time. Maintaining good cash flow is important no matter what business you are in.

A User Guide for this new feature will be linked here soon.

Business Central Dimension Support Enhanced

We took one step further to improve Dimension support in Business Central from Curo365. You can now utilize any dimension that you have set in Global Dimension 1 property in Business Central and pass in an appropriate value from Curo365 to easily be able to view/report as you need.

We continue to make things more flexible and configurable for your needs.

An updated User Guide for this enhancement will be linked here soon.

Even More Accounting Entry Control with your Business Central Integration

The bottom line is, your accountant is going to cry tears of joy for making their life so much better.

All the details regarding transfers and disbursements with different payment methods, and do they come across as purchase invoices or general ledger entries is now completely configurable and can be just how you need them to be.

Renaming Portions in Curo365: Bills will become Invoices and Billings will become Time Entries

We will be renaming a few portions in Curo365 in some upcoming releases, and we wanted to give you some notice in advance.

We will first be renaming Bills to Invoices and Billings to Time Entries with a few other changes to follow these.

Even though these changes are straightforward and don't really need any explanation, name changes can be a bit disruptive for a short time, especially when you are just used to things being a certain way, but we know these changes will actually help clarify things and make it easier to more quickly adopt Curo365 for new firms.
