Renaming Portions in Curo365: Bills will become Invoices and Billings will become Time Entries

We will be renaming a few portions in Curo365 in some upcoming releases, and we wanted to give you some notice in advance.

We will first be renaming Bills to Invoices and Billings to Time Entries with a few other changes to follow these.

Even though these changes are straightforward and don't really need any explanation, name changes can be a bit disruptive for a short time, especially when you are just used to things being a certain way, but we know these changes will actually help clarify things and make it easier to more quickly adopt Curo365 for new firms.

Introducing Simple Payment Plans

Creating simple payment plans are here, and we will be enhancing this new feature in the next few releases.

Now you can create a simple monthly payment plan for as many months as you specify that will start on the 1st of the following month and each subsequent month.

With future enhancements, you will be able to have more control in setting the date to start and payment due dates, as well as selecting the cadence besides monthly.

"Apply All Retainers" Easily

We've added the ability to "Apply All Retainers" at any time. Included in this is first applying available credits. This means that any matters with outstanding balance(s) AND available credits OR a retainer balance will be included when performing this action.

Voiding a Bill

Voiding a Bill sounds like a pretty simple thing to do, and thankfully it actually is now! 

Sometimes you just need to void a Bill. That also means dealing with any existing payments, allocations and accounting entries. We do all the heavy lifting for you to make this can-be-complicated scenario into an easy one for you, so that you can focus on practicing law more than practicing accounting.

Easily applying credits towards bills on a matter in a very specific way, while using various different accounts relevant to each type of item on the bill is exactly what you can do now. You can configure it once and sit back knowing your credits moving forward will be applied in the right order every single time.



Business Central Reporting Dimension Support

You are now able to specify a single, free-text dimension from your Business Center that will be pushed will all transactions and details to Business Central in order to better report how you need to slice your data in Business Central. 

We plan to add support in the future for additional dimensions that will allow you to flexibly report financials additionally. For example, you could have dimensions by geography, tax location/group, practice area and even by matter.
